HTML5 will make a comeback - phones likely to turn cheaper.
Phones and tablets are going to remain dark, rectangular slabs.
Late Latifs in the mobile market like Facebook (Amazon), Microsoft and Amazone with Foxconn and others will launch their own phones. Microsoft may take over Nokia.
Ordinary phones that were almost killed by smartphones will get new life, courtesy wireless tech.
Despite the bad press from its setbacks against Apple, Samsung will continue to dominate the tech world.
Microsoft with a little help from Nokia, Samsung and HTC will retain No. 3 spot. Research in Motion (BlackBerry) is likely to carry its troubles into the new year.
New operating systems (OS) will help dark horses to become formidable challengers. Tizen (Linux Foundation) is developing with Samsung and Intel and Mozilla’s Firefox OS.
