Arjun Kapoor romances debutante Sasha Agha in Aurangzeb
Arjun Kapoor has impressed all with his performance in debut movie Ishaqzaade and now the talented son of producer Boney Kapoor is ready for his second movie Aurangzeb. The actor will be romancing debutante Sasha Agha in the film.
Arjun and Sasha, who is the daughter of yesteryear actress Salma Agha, have shot a few steamy scenes in the action crime thriller.
The movie, with a tagline 'Kingship knows no Kinship', will see Arjun Kapoor in a double role. Aurangzeb has been produced by Adiya Chopra and helmed by debutant director Atul Sabarwal.
Sasha, who will be seen in a bold avatar in the movie, has caught the attention of her fans with her sultry moves in the club track Barbadiyaan.
Barbaadiyaan also marks Sasha's signing debut and said she had to audition for the peppy number.
Sasha, who is a trained singer from the Kirana Gharana, recently revealed that she intends to follow a career in singing as well.
She said: “I have learned singing from my mom and I don't plan to give it up because I am very passionate about it. I want to make a career in acting and singing simultaneously.”
Film's director is very impressed with Arjun Kapoor's performance in the movie and the two will be again working together soon. Arjun, who is shooting for Dharma Production's 2 States, will again appear under the YRF banner in Gunday with Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra.
Comparing Arjun Kapoor with megastar Amitabh Bachchan, film's director Atul said: "I find a rare quality in him... I feel he has a face that has a character... and the aura of a star like Amitabh Bachchan.”
Malayalam superstar Prithviraj of Aiyya fame will be seen in an important role in the movie. Prithviraj, who is fast gaining popularity in Bollywood, has reportedly signed Farah Khan's Happy New Year with Shah Rukh Khan.
Prithviraj is the calm and reticent policeman Arya, who rarely loses his balance.
And yet, Arya is astute enough to judge the winding and constantly changing sides of different people around him and thus moulds himself accordingly.
Jackie Shroff will be playing the role of gangster Yashwardhan – who operates under the garb of a real estate empire.
Protective and possessive about his son, he is like an old lion from whom authority seems to be slowly slipping away.
After playing the baddie Rauf Lala in the Agneepath remake, Rishi Kapoor plays a mastermind policeman Ravikant.
For Ravikant, ambition and supremacy comes first and foremost. He disregards those who come in his way and gets things done as per his convenience and plans.
