Cannes Film Festival: Aishwarya, Sonam, Vidya to walk the red carpet
Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai will be again walking the red carpet at the Cannes festival this year. Aishwarya made her debut appearance at Cannes in 2002 for her film Devdas, since then she has been a regular at the festival. She will walk the red carpet this year as brand ambassador of beauty brand L'Oreal Paris, which is completing 16 years as the official make-up partner for the Cannes festival.
Vidya Balan will make her first appearance at Cannes this year. The actress has been invited to be part of a 10-member jury that includes Steven Spielberg. Vidya known for her movies like Kahaani and Dirty Picture, recently said that she will appear in her all time favourite attire - saree.
Sonam Kapoor, who is also the brand ambassador of L'Oreal, will walk the Cannes red carpet for the third time. The actress along with Aishwarya Rai and Freida Pinto (also a brand ambassador of L'Oreal) will be sporting the brand's new sunset look inspired by Bollywood's different eras, to mark 100 years of Indian cinema. Amitabh Bachchan will walk the red carpet at Cannes for his Hollywood debut The Great Gatsby, which will premiere at Cannes. He is expected to walk the red carpet with his wife Jaya and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai.
Ameesha Patel will be seen walking the red carpet at Cannes with Shortcut Romeo's lead actor Neil Nitin Mukesh. Shortcut Romeo will be premiered at Cannes this year. Ameesha will be wearing a Manish Malhotra sari on the red carpet.

This time for his movie Bombay Talkies, which has four short stories directed by Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar and Dibaker Banerjee. Bombay Talkies is a tribute to 100 years of Indian cinema. Anurag will be accompanied by the other three directors too.
Nandita Das, who was at the Cannes in 2005 as one of the jury members, will once again be seen at the film festival this year. The actress will be part of the jury for the short films category.
