1 killed over property dispute

A 65-year-old man was allegedly shot dead in front of a building he was constructing in Sadashiv Peth on Saturday night by one of the four unidentified persons who came to meet him. Police suspect the murder to be a fallout of a dispute over property.

Vishrambag police have identified the deceased as Tej Bahadur Singh Thakur who originally hailed from Uttarakhand and was in Pune since last few years. Police said Thakur was developing a plot in the area and the construction work is currently on. Deputy commissioner of police (Zone I) Makarand Ranade said, "Police control room got a call at around 9 pm. We got to know that a man was shot at. When our teams reached the spot, Thakur was found dead."
