100 yrs of cinematic heritage: Osian's launches mega project
The Osian's Group today announced the launch of an ambitious project which will open up the world's largest archive on Indian and world cinema and the arts.
The Osianama Learning Experience (OLE) will be a dedicated online knowledge search engine and education content provider for Indian and Asian arts, culture and world cinema.
"It is the most comprehensive and integrated examination of the subjects ever documented and researched, and will be made publicly available with a rigorous daily updating process. OLE will be released over four phases with the key focus being the last '300 years of India's Art, Culture and Cinema'," an Osian's statement said.
The project will include 100 books on various themes, ideas and personalities of Indian cinema (to be launched at the World Book Fair); the public opening of the film and art museum Osianama at the Kila here; and a tribute to Indian cinema at the forthcoming 13th edition of the Osian's-Cinefan Film Festival in July.
The online search engine, the first phase of OLE, will be provided free.
"OLE is envisioned to bring unique and rare synergies between the physical and virtual worlds of art and cinematic education," the statement said.
