A 14-year-old girl was raped by a youth in an isolated area in Phillaur near Sutlej on Sunday morning.
Found by some people on the road, she was rushed to the Civil Hospital by 108 ambulance workers.
It is learnt that in the name of taking her on a trip to a religious place, the youth abducted her and took her to an isolated place near Sutlej river in Phillaur and fled after raping her.
The Basti Jodhewal police nabbed the accused soon after an inquiry and registered a case against him under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code.
The girl told police that while she was going to get some medicines from the chemist for her parents, the accused, Sandeep, 23, lured her to visit a religious place with him and after taking her to Phillaur, he raped her three times.
