A 15-year-old boy, who was kidnapped by three medical representatives from Deoria for ransom on January 31, was found murdered in Siwan district of Bihar on Monday. The police arrested two of the accused on Tuesday.
Deoria Superintendent of Police L R Kumar said the main accused, Anjan Tiwari of Subahi area in Siwan district, had taken away Nikhil, assuring his father Kashinath Tiwari of Ramghulam tola locality in Deoria that he will get a job in his company.
Tiwari, who is a businessman and runs a wholesale shop of tobacco products, informed the police after his son did not return home after two days and Anjan remained untraceable.
The SP said that Tiwari started receiving calls for a ransom of Rs 12 lakh on February 2. The calls were being made from PCOs at different places in Chhapra and Saran districts of Bihar. On February 9, the kidnapper reduced the ransom to Rs 1 lakh.
He said that Tiwari agreed to pay the ransom, but the caller never told him the place where the money should be delivered.
On Monday, the police were informed that the decomposed body of a minor boy had been found in a well in Siwan on February 9. The Deoria police took the boy's father to Siwan and he identified the body.

He said the Bihar police helped them in tracing two friends of Anjan Tiwari from a hideout in Siwan. They were identified as Ranjit of Saran and Loknath of Chhapra district.
