After sonís wedding, Gautam Adani lines up lavish receptions

Over 22,000 people, including the who's who from across Gujarat, have been invited for the three lavish receptions being hosted by the Adani family to celebrate the wedding of Karan, the son of Gujarat-based billionaire Gautam Adani, and Paridhi, the daughter of Cyril Shroff, the co-owner of India's largest law firm.

The wedding was held on February 13 at a five-star hotel in Goa where the Ambani brothers and mother Kokilaben, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, and Union minister Sharad Pawar, MNS chief Raj Thackeray, former BJP president Nitin Gadkari and Union minister Praful Patel were present, among others.

The first of the three receptions in Gujarat has been scheduled on Friday at Karnavati club in Ahmedabad, where over 6,000 guests have been invited, including ministers from the Gujarat government.

The second reception has been organised for over 8,000 Adani Group employees on February 17 at the same venue.

The third has been organised at the Mundra township in Kutch district of the state.

The couple had got engaged in April last year. Karan (25), who works with his father, primarily looks after the port business of Adani Group, while Paridhi (22) is a law student and is the managing partner of a Mumbai-based law firm, Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co. The company opened office in Ahmedabad last year.
