Ambulance drivers, owners go on strike in Gurgaon

The drivers and owners of private ambulances in Gurgaon went on a strike on Saturday demanding the arrest of those who murdered an ambulance owner and driver. The bodies of the two men were found inside the ambulance abandoned in front of a school in Sector-10A, Gurgaon, on Friday. The drivers and owners threatened to continue the strike till the culprits are booked. The strike left many patients and their relatives stranded. Many had to take patients in their private vehicles.

Family members clash over land dispute, 4 injured

Noida: Four persons were injured after members of a family clashed in Behlolpur village in Noida on Saturday evening. Police said a dispute over division of farmland led to the violence. Akash Kumar (21) was attacked with a sickle. He received injuries to his head and back and has been admitted to Fortis Hospital in Noida Sector 62. Ram Kumar, Shiv Kumar and Radhe Singh were also injured in the incident. While there were reports of shots being fired using country-made pistols, police said they could not find any evidence of a shootout. Police said they had not received a complaint, and no case had been registered.
