23 dengue cases reported in city, 2 in Punjab

Chandigarh:There are now 23 confirmed dengue cases being reported in this season from the city besides two cases from Punjab. Officials say that last week alone, there were nine cases reported in the city. The first three cases were reported two weeks ago. Officials in the UT Health department say that the late onset of monsoon has not given any respite from the vector-borne disease.

GMCH-32 to hold workshop on clinical trials

Chandigarh:The Department of Community Medicine, GMCH-32, is organising a workshop on "Biostatistical Aspects of Randomized Clinical Trials and Medical Ethics" to be held from September 21-23 with the support of the Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi.

Markfed Society holds blood donation camp

Chandigarh:The 17th Annual Blood Donation Camp was organised by Markfed Blood Trust Society in association with the Department of Blood Transfusion, GMCH-32, Chandigarh. 100 people donated blood at the camp.
