'Most wanted' truck driver nabbed
NEW DELHI:A 41-year-old truck driver, a "most wanted" criminal carrying a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his capture, was arrested by the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police. Rajesh was apprehended from Vipin Nagar when he came to meet his family two days ago, Ravindra Yadav, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), said. Police said Rajesh confessed that he was a member of the Kartar Singh Mandothi gang and was involved in two murder cases.
Man shoots himself after tiff with brother
NEW DELHI:A 22-year-old man allegedly shot himself dead with his father's licensed pistol Sunday afternoon at his residence in Northeast Delhi's Bhajanpura area. Police said Arjun Chaudhary reportedly shot himself after a tiff with his elder brother. No suicide note has been found, police said.
Discarded shin guards spark bomb scare
NEW DELHI:A pair of shin guards, found abandoned near the Delhi Secretariat, a short distance away from Feroz Shah Kotla stadium, where the test match between India and Australia was under way, sent the Delhi Police in a tizzy on Saturday. The bomb disposal squad was alerted immediately. However, examination revealed they were just a pair of discarded shin guards.
