Badal raises religious corridor demand

Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal urged External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid to look into the long pending demand for a special corridor between Dera Baba Nanak on the Indian side to Kartarpur Sahib in the Pakistani side to enable devotees from India to pay obeisance at the Gurdwara relating to first Sikh master Guru Nanak Dev. "While trade between the two nations is equally important. If you get this special corridor materialised, your name would go down in history as the minister who managed it," Badal said while addressing Khurshid. The External Affairs minister assured to take up the matter with Home Ministry.
