A four-wicket haul by Mandeep Bhardwaj (4 for 16) and a fine half-century by Simarjeet Singh guided Satluj Stunners Cricket Academy to a nine-wicket haul over Sagar XI in the final of the Second Shaheed Major Sandeep Sagar Memorial Cricket Tournament held at DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 11. Batting first, Sagar XI posted a total of 110 runs in 26.2 overs. Uday was the top scorer for the team as he played a knock of 42 runs while Gurdeep contributed 16 runs. For Satluj Stunners Cricket Academy, Mandeep Bhardwaj claimed four wickets for 16 runs while Shubham Sheokand claimed two wickets for eight runs. Chasing the target, Satluj Stunners Cricket Academy reached the target for the loss of one wicket in ten overs. Simarjit Singh played a breezy knock of 74 runs in 39 balls. Singh smashed eight sixes and five boundaries.

Bowlers star in Chandigarh 'B' team win
Chandigarh: A fine display by their bowlers and a knock of 27 runs by Ashwin guided Chandigarh 'B' team to a three-wicket win over Chandigarh 'A' team in the opening match of the CCA U-12 Cricket Tournament at Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36. Batting first, Chandigarh 'A' team posted a total of 150 runs in 34 overs. Gourav played a knock of 39 runs in 65 balls while Satyam contributed 37 runs off 43 balls. For Chandigarh 'B' team, Varun claimed three wickets for 23 runs while Karan claimed two wickets for 19 runs. In reply, Chandigarh 'B' team reached the target for the loss of seven wickets in 34.3 overs. Ashwin played a knock of 27 runs while Abhishek played a knock of 26 runs. Atul also played a knock of 26 runs. For the losing team, Jaideep claimed two wickets for 23 runs while Mannu claimed two wickets for 29 runs.
