Ramadorai focuses on developing skills
LUCKNOW: In a state where the employment exchanges are busy distributing unemployment allowance, adviser to prime minister on skill development S Ramadorai believes that re-invention of employment exchange will play a crucial role in "skilling" and providing jobs to UP youth. Talking to mediapersons in Lucknow before his meeting with CM Akhilesh Yadav on Friday, Ramadorai focused on the need for skill development to tap the demographic dividend "inherently present in the state" because of its population. Ramadorai said he would meet the CM regarding implementation of national skill development mission and talk to him about roles of various ITIs, employment exchange and outcome based targets of various skill development schemes implemented in the state.
ADG post revived for NCR
Lucknow: The UP government on Thursday revived the post of NCR ADG which was created during the BSP government and was abolished soon after Akhilesh Yadav became chief minister last year. State Intelligence ADG O P Singh has been sent as NCR ADG while others who were transferred Thursday night include 19 IG- and DIG-rank officers.
Govt transfers 16 IPS officers
Lucknow: The state government has transferred 16 IPS officers and gave additional charge to one. While ADG, Intelligence OP Singh has been transferred as ADG/IG Meerut, DIG Kanpur range Sunil Kumar Gupta has been made DIG Kanpur. IG Railways Ashutosh Pandey has been made IG Agra, the transfer list released late Thursday night by the government said. IG, Special Investigation Team Satish Kumar Mathur has been made IG establishment.
