Bribery: Sai remanded in police custody till January 1

Narayan Sai, Asaram Bapu's son, was remanded to police custody till January 1 in a fresh case of bribery.

Surat police produced Sai before the additional district sessions judge M T Megde on Monday to obtain police remand for his alleged involvement in the conspiracy to bribe police, judiciary and others, to derail the rape case against him. Out of the suspected bribe amount of Rs 13 crore, the police have recovered Rs 8 crore. The Surat police have arrested eight accused in the case so far.
