I-T dept honours Cosmos Bank

Income-Tax Department awarded Cosmos Co-operative Bank for paying the highest Advance tax of Rs 75 crore for the financial year 2012-13 in co-operative banking sector, Pune region. The honour on Cosmos was bestowed during the inauguration of The new Income-Tax Service Center in Erandwane, by SG Joshi, chief commissioner of Income-Tax, Pune region. Chairman in-charge, Cosmos Bank, Krishnakumar Goyal, CEO and joint managing director, Vikrant Ponkshe and joint managing director, Suhas Gokhale attended.

Chapekhar Engg starts new plant

Chaphekar Engineering started a new plant for load body painting. The plant was inaugurated by Satish Borwankar, Executive Director, Quality Tata Motors. Ashok Chaphekar, chairman, Chaphekar Engineering said, "This project is part of our technical up-gradation to ensure excellent quality and perfection of goods. This plant is 100 per cent environment friendly. We will recycle the waste water and reuse for the same. We will later establish a water harvesting system in our plant to fulfil the need of water."

KEPL starts new service centre

Kirloskar Ebara Pumps Limited (KEPL), manufacturers of API Pumps, Boiler Feed Water Pumps, Steam Turbines and Turbo Gen-Sets inaugurated its first Service Centre at Kirloskarvadi in Sangli. Aseem Srivastav, managing director, KEPL, inaugurated the service centre. "The service centre facility would help in rendering faster delivery of overhauled pumps and minimise downtime," he said. K N Nibhe, managing director, M/s Pandurang SSK Ltd was present, among others.
