Cab owner looted

A 40-year-old cab owner from Mumbai was allegedly looted of his car, cell phone, cash and valuables total worth Rs 13 lakh on Friday afternoon by six persons who forcibly got into his car on Pune-Mumbai highway. A complaint has been registered by the cab owner, Anthony Nadar with the Hinjewadi police. Sub-inspector C V Kendre, investigating the case said, "Around 2 pm he was near Shani temple on the highway when three person stopped his car from front. Three others opened the door and threatened him. All six got into the car and asked him to start driving. They asked him to halt at a petrol pump, and one of them started driving the car. They gagged him, tied his hands and legs and dropped him at a secluded spot near Somatane toll booth. We have launched a search. Our teams are also checking the CCTV footage at various places."
