Cameron lauds on-time performance of AI flight despite fog

David Cameron

British Prime Minister David Cameron today took an Air India chartered flight to Amritsar and praised the national carrier for its service and on-time performance despite fog over Delhi airport.

The flight left Delhi on schedule at 8 am despite fog and landed at Amritsar right on time at 9.05 am. The return leg of the flight was also on-time, an airline spokesperson said.

Before disembarking at Delhi, Cameron called all the crew members on board for a group photo and praised them for the flight and the services offered during it.

Cameron was "particularly impressed with the on-time performance" and said, "I will also tell British Airways to follow Air India," according to the spokesperson.

The flight had 95 passengers on board including the British premier's delegation, besides 10 crew members.
