'Optra Scan' has been designed and developed at the company's 13,000 sqft research and development unit in Pune under the Biotechnology Industry Partnership Program (BIPP) of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India for design and development of affordable healthcare devices for Indian Healthcare segment.

The research and development lab of Optra Systems has been recognised by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) as Research & Development Unit for healthcare and life sciences.

Gholap said that cancer diagnosis will now be less expensive and speedy which would help in the treatment.
