CBI officials probe case of ‘missing’ Apna Ghar scandal witnesses

A team of CBI officials on Tuesday recorded statements of various people in the case pertaining to the mysterious 'disappearance' of two girls - Pooja and Munni - from a Rohtak-based shelter home, about a week ago.

The girls were key witnesses in the ongoing case against the operators of the controversial shelter home - Apna Ghar. Pooja and Munni were among many other inmates transferred from Apna Ghar to the shelter home located at Gandhi camp in Rohtak, after the alleged sex-scandal at Apna Ghar came to light.

A CBI officials' team led by ASP Satish Dagar reached Rohtak and held a meeting with the Rohtak district police officials. The CBI questioned the police officers on how the girls went missing, when the shelter home was also provided police security.

The two women constables, who were on duty at the shelter home from where the girls went missing, have been placed under suspension. Around 10 police teams are conducting search operations for the girls.
