Censors take the bite out of Bector's 'Saali Bitch'

The Censor Board has emerged victorious in it's latest tussle with controversial rapper Ishq Bector, whose new single 'Saali Bitch' will now be released with a much tamer moniker, 'Saali Mirch'.

The 'Aye hip-hopper' hitmaker has been raising the hackles of the regulatory body with his "lewd" lyrics and last year he had sent a legal notice to the Censors who vetoed one of his tracks.

"I released 'Saali Bitch' online because I was tired of waiting for a certificate but for the video to be aired on TV we needed the green signal from the Board. So now we have changed the name to 'Saali Mirch'," said Bector.

Though the name is sorted, the singer-songwriter said that the Board was now demanding proof that no animals were hurt during the shooting of the video, which features a puppy. "We are now running around to prove that my co-star, the cute puppy was not mistreated while shooting. I hope that too is sorted out soon," said Bector.

The rapper also run into trouble recently with 'Item Girl' Rakhi Sawant, who threatened to sue him after he made uncharitable remarks about her during a radio show. But all is well now, between him and 'good friend' Rakhi. "Rakhi is a great girl but she loses her temper really fast. During the interview they just asked me who is 'Saali Bitch' dedicated to and I said Rakhi Sawant. Then she was approached for a comment and she reacted by saying that she will take me to court. I did not know that it will be blown up like that and after it happened I texted her, explaining the whole thing. And we are OK now," said Bector.

Born in Canada to Punjabi parents, the rapper came to India with Bollywood dreams five years ago and finally they are coming true.
