Man held for murdering his wife

The Bharati Vidyapeeth police arrested a man for allegedly murdering his wife after a quarrel Friday early morning. The suspect has been identified as Dattatraya Manikrao Hande (39), a resident of Suryakamal building, Balajinagar. Police said Hande murdered his 33-year-old wife Roshana around 5 am on Friday. Police said that Hande had a garments shop in the city. The couple have two children. Hande wanted to shift to a new house by selling his apartment where they currently resided. However, Roshana was not ready for this new arrangement. This led to repeated quarrels between them. After heated arguments, Hande got angry and allegedly banged his wife's head on a wall, leading to her death. Akshay Ramesh Jagtap (19) of Jadhav Chawl in Balaji Nagar lodged the complaint of murder in this case. Police inspector Sunil Yadav is investigating the case.
