Commission agent commits suicide, blames business partner and his son

Sudarshan Khera from Mata Vaishno Devi Colony on Tuesday committed suicide. He was a commission agent at the fruit market and his body was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his office in Nanak Nagar, Salem Tabri.

In the suicide note he has accused his partner Jagjit Singh and his son Bhupinder Singh of duping and threatening him.

The Salem Tabri police registered a case under Section 306 of the IPC (abetment to suicide) against Jagjit Singh and Bhupinder Singh. The police arrested Jagjit Singh while Bhupinder Singh is absconding.

Rajan Khera, son of the deceased, said that his father left the house in the morning for office. After some time when he along with his uncle Naresh Khera reached there, they found the door of the office locked from inside and later they spotted his body hanging from the ceiling fan.

Salem Tabri SHO Balwinder Singh said the police registered a case and arrested Jagjit Singh while the search was on for his son.
