Congress issues 18-point 'chargesheet' against Modi
Similarly, Congress has charged Modi government for depriving state population of their right to education, right to food and right to employment.
Charging' Modi government of resorting to corruption the 'chargesheet' claims that during the rule of Modi there was corruption worth Rs 1 lakh crore in 17 scandals and still state government was adamant in not appointing Lokayukt in the state.
"If Modi claims that he doesn¿t take bribe and doesn¿t allow others too, then why he is not appointing Lokayukt," asked Gohil.
GPCC President Arjun Modhwadia, while talking to newsmen in Ahmedabad and releasing the chargesheet, said, "In five year rule of Modi government over 11,391 children have gone missing or kidnapped, which is a record in the state as well as in country."
"The irony is state police and administrative machinery is busy making his (Modi's) political programme a success," he alleged.
As many as 12.55 lakhs offences have been registered under various sections of IPC, he said.
On the development front Bihar has pipped Gujarat with a GSDP of 14.5 per cent. Gujarat GSDP is hovering at 9.5 per cent, Modhwadia claimed adding that the growth rate of Gujarat has been higher during the Congress rule.
Around 57,000 small-scale industries have shut down in the state during the Modi led BJPs rule in the state. The Congress had set up 180 industrial estates during its rule, while Modi government could set up only two, Modhwadia claimed.
Gujarat ranks fourth in public debt with Rs 1,40,238 crore in India, and around 20 per cent of tax income of the state goes in repaying interest on this debt, he claimed.
He also alleged that Gujarat ranks low on Human Development Index(HDI) as 45 per cent children are underweight, and 55 per cent women are anaemic.
The state ranks 11th in HDI index, he said.
