Court denies bail to Shah again

A district court on Monday rejected the temporary bail application of Vismay Shah, the accused in the BMW hit-and-run case. This was the 11th time he requested for bail. Shah cited medical reasons while requesting for one-month bail before the court. Shah said that he is undergoing treatment at civil hospital for last few days. Therefore, he requested that the court grant him bail for a month.

After going through the medical report, special public prosecutor Pravin Trivedi rejected the bail plea.

He said that the court was satisfied with the fact that Shah can be treated at civil hospital itself. In February, Shah, while driving a BMW car, had hit a motorcycle near Lad Society in Vastrapur area. Two youth on the bike were killed in the accident.
