Court suggests mediation to Rajesh Khanna relatives, live-in partner

The Bandra metropolitan magistrate court on Tuesday suggested that the dispute between late actor Rajesh Khanna's family members and Anita Advani, who claims to have been Khanna's live-in partner, could be resolved amicably through mediation.

Advani has claimed in her complaint that Khanna's family evicted her from his bungalow Aashirwad, which is on Carter Road in Bandra (West), on November 8. She claimed that her eviction from the bungalow would attract provisions of the Domestic Violence Act.

Advani's lawyer Madhukar Shetty said, "Magistrate S S Deshpande has asked both sides to make their position clear on the issue of mediation. If they do not agree to mediation, then the issue will be disposed of by the court."

The magistrate has also asked Khanna's wife Dimple Kapadia, daughters Twinkle and Rinke, and son-in-law Akshay Kumar to appear in court on December 4. Earlier, they had been asked to file their reply to the complaint by Tuesday. However, they did not file any reply before the magistrate.
