Deepika Padukone lucky fourth time with 'Ram-Leela'

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is on a roll with four back-to-back hits this year. Her last release of 2013, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Ram-Leela' has also hit a bullseye at the box office.

'Ram-Leela' has opened to a great response, collection Rs. 33 crore in its opening weekend. Even tough the film's plot has received mixed reviews, critics and audiences have praised Deepika Padukone's performance and her crackling chemistry with her rumoured beau Ranveer Singh.

Deepika Paukone had a phenomenal start in 2013 with ensemble cast film 'Race 2'. The film which entered the Rs. 100 crore club was the first feather on her success hat.

Deepika Padukone's next release 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' with ex-beau Ranibr Kapoor was an instant rage at Box Office and it earned a whopping Rs 188 crore at the box office.

Deepika's chemistry with Ranbir was highly appreciated and loved by critics and audience alike. Even with the enormous personal history tangent to the film, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor both managed to emerge with flying colours with their performances.

Deepika Padukone next collaborated with her 'Om Shanti Om' co-star Shah Rukh Khan which literally re-wrote the history of Bollywood Box Office success. 'Chennai Express' became the fastest film to enter Rs 100 crore club in just four days. And then became the second film to enter Rs 200 crore club on the 15th day of its release. The film, which has earned Rs 227 crore, was recently aired on Zee TV also earned the highest TRPs.

Deepika Padukone's performance as a South Indian damsel impressed one and all. Indian Express film critic Shubhra Gupta said: "Deepika Padukone looks lovely in a just-about-to-burst-into-a-Bharatnatyam-dance sort of way, and sticks unwaveringly to a spunky over –the-topness, till she's made to go all emotional."

With four releases this year three out of those in Rs 100 crore club and one also Rs 200 crore club, it is safe to say that Deepika Padukone is the flavour of Bollywood.
