In a survey conducted by networking website LinkedIn, 44 per cent of the site's Indian users said that they were working in the career that they had dreamed about in their youth, the Daily Mail reported.

Meanwhile, the UK was languishing at the bottom of the 17 countries surveyed, with only one in five people doing the job that was their childhood aim.

Other English-speaking countries also did relatively poorly, with the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand all scoring less than 30 percent.
