As the fog cover remained thin on the second day, improving visibility, most of the short-route trains arrived at the Chandigarh railway station on time or with a short delay. Similarly, the flight operations also improved with 10 flights out of 14 taking off on time. However, three flights were cancelled.
According to an official of Chandigarh Airport, due to operational reasons, three flights were cancelled. These were JetKonnect flight S2 4238/35 from Delhi to Chandigarh and two flights of Jet Airways — flight 9W 2657 from Chandigarh to Delhi and 9W 2515 from Jaipur to Chandigarh.
JetKing flight 9W 489/67 Mumbai-Chandigarh-Mumbai was delayed by two hours. The flight which had a scheduled arrival at 12.10 pm and departure at 12.45 pm arrived at 2.10 pm and left at 2.40 pm.
"Only three flights — two of Jet Airways and one of JetKonnect — were cancelled on Sunday. All the remaining flights took off on time or with some delay," said the official.
