Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Manish Tewari on Sunday said that once implemented, the Food Security Bill would change the face of the nation.
"Food Security Bill is soon going to be a reality," he said while distributing ration to 500 poor people at Pracheen Gaushala here.
The Bill has a provision for providing rice, wheat and other foodgrains at very cheap rates to the people.
Tewari said the Cabinet had given its nod to the modified Food Security Bill last week and it was reintroduced in the Lok Sabha last Friday. He hoped that Parliament would soon pass this Bill.
