As you enter FuzzyHare, a salon specially designed for children located in Vasant Kunj, you are greeted by Barbie dolls on circular niches of a white wall that resembles a block of cheese. It provides a sneak peak into the playful world conceptualized to keep children distracted and entertained while getting pampered.
Gone are the days when kids were seated on barber chairs for a haircut. Instead, two rocking mini cars - one in yellow and the other in red – are mounted on hydraulic bases, that serve as chairs. Shelves situated beside the mirror are stocked with cartoon CDs such as 'The Incredibles', 'Shrek' and 'Lion King' that catch your eye instantly. LCD screens playing cartoons such as Chhota Bheem run parallelly to keep the little customers entertained while getting a haircut.
FuzzyHare claims to offer a unique experience to kids and promises them that getting a haircut done is no longer a nightmarish experience.
On the other side are pictures of David Beckham, Harry Potter, Justin Bieber, Hannah Montana, Rihanna and Taylor Swift glamourising a wall. Kids as young as four have the option of choosing from any of these hairstyles sported by their favourite stars. An instant thought that crosses an adult's mind when they see this - "wish we had salons like these during our childhood days."
There is also a play area where tiny chairs and tables in rainbow colours are placed for toddlers to sit around and have conversation with their young friends while coloring books and story books come in handy to pass their time. An X Box is also a highlight and kids can be seen moving their hands in the air in all directions trying to score a win in front of the display screen.
Two large purple coloured stiletto shaped chairs called Cindrella shoes have been placed in the middle of the room where girls can sit and have manicures and pedicures done. Hand puppets in the shape of a lion and a monkey are placed on nearby tables to keep the children distracted.
