IPL 2013 mobile apps: Hitting a Six

If you are one of those cricket enthusiasts who's not content with sitting on the couch and cheering for your favourite team in Indian Premier League (IPL), Disney UTV's Indiagames has a perfect offering for you. With their recently launched official IPL Cricket Fever 2013, you can also get a chance to play with all the official IPL teams as well as your favorite cricketers from across the world. Available for download free-of-cost on the Android platform, this game is fun to play, as long as you enjoy a strong internet connection on your handset.

Its high-definition 3D graphics attract you to the game immediately. With detailed player animations and a wide pitch occupying your entire screen, you actually feel like you are a part of an actual on ground IPL match. Adding to this effect are television broadcast style cameras that zoom in on the batsman when the bowler is in action, and provide a wide angle of the ground once the ball is hit. What adds to the realistic element is the inclusion of all official nine teams — Mumbai Indians, Chennai Superkings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Pune Warriors. After logging into the game, you can select the team you want to play for. While you are in the shoes of the batsman, you can start a match either selecting a friend or creating a challenge with other\ users playing the game at the same time. The objective of the game is to hit maximum number of runs in one, three or five overs and challenging your opponent. The more challenges you win, the more points you get and that in turn leads to an improvement in your skill sets. And you don't necessarily have to be an expert at the sport. With the help of a tutorial and use of easy, swipe-based controls, you can hit the ball in any direction and at least, score a run. Moreover, this game also helps you gauge your speed, timing and power after every run. This helps in perfecting your skills.
