JP Associates executive killed in rail mishap

BHOPAL: Executive president of Jaiprakash Associates, a leading construction company, died near here on Sunday in a rail mishap, the police said. Rajiv Gaur was trying to board the II AC coach of the Dakshin Express train at Mandi Bamora station but its door was closed. By the time he realised that he would not be able to get in, the train had started running at a high speed and he clung on to the door, they said. Though Gaur must have tried to get open the door, no one inside the compartment heard his voice, the police said. His hands probably slipped and he fell down near Kulhar station and died on the spot, they added.

Patient molested by hospital ward boy

JAMSHEDPUR: A woman patient was allegedly molested by a ward boy at Tata Main Hospital here, the police said on Sunday. The 22-year-old patient was allegedly molested by Ashok Kahra on Saturday night when she was being shifted to the female ward in a semi-conscious state after an operation, sources said. Kahra fled when a nurse noticed him near the patient's bed and shouted at him. After she regained her consciousness on Sunday, the patient narrated the incident to her relatives, who lodged a complaint with the police. Kahra has been arrested.
