"The profile that she carries, the candid charisma, and back to back mega hits, all this in addition to enjoying the number one status in the Bollywood female star category, made us select her as our brand ambassador.

"Being the number one mobile phone brand in the country we couldn't settle for anything less," Zeeshan Akhtar, Chairman and CEO of QMobile told PTI.

Kareena comes with a huge price tag. Last year, she had signed up for a beverage company in India for a whopping Rs 5 crore.

Asked how much Kareena charged for the ad, that would be shot in Thailand, he said, "We call it investment, not cost and that is suppose to be a secret."

He said an international team was hired for the entire production and the storyboard that he selected demanded everything to happen in Thailand.

Bollywood has a huge fan following in Pakistan.

Akhtar was not very direct when asked if QMobile plans to bring Kareena to Pakistan.

When asked if stardom really helps sell a product, the young CEO of QMobile said the company is looking beyond percentages and pie charts.

"Her association with our brand will definitely add new energy. I have always looked at things from a higher perspective and this has always worked," he said.

QMobile had earlier signed 'Aashiqui 2' famed actor Aditya Roy Kapoor as its brand ambassador. The ad featuring him was much appreciated in Pakistan.
