On Sunday morning, the police were tipped off that one of the accused involved in the kidnapping was seen in Nunihai area of the city. The police rushed there and arrested one Sanjay Kumar with a countrymade pistol.
On the basis of information collected from him, the police raided a house in Tajganj area and rescued the boy. Two women identified as Seema Jatav and Reena were arrested from the house. Reena is Sanjay's wife.
"The boy told us that the women used to threaten him with a dragger to keep quiet, we found the dagger in the house," said Inspector Shailendra Singh. The boy was kept in the house since he was kidnapped.
Two other persons, Dinesh and Sonu Jatav, a third women, who had played a vital role in the kidnapping are absconding. Sonu Jatav is a relative to Seema Jatav, whose husband Banti is lodged in jail for the last two years.
The police said the arrested persons told them that they had kidnapped the boy to extort money from his father Shiv Kumar, who is a businessman. Seema and Sonu are tenants in Shiv Kumar's house.
Resident of Krishna Bagh Colony in Agra, Shiv Kumar runs an electronics shop. On October 27, Seema and Sonu kidnapped Mohit from his house and kept him at the rented house of Sanjay Kumar in Tajganj locality. Mohit's family then filed a missing report with the police.
