12 students hurt in bus accident

Allahabad:Over 12 students of an inter-college sustained injuries when the mini-bus they were going in was hit by an Uttar Pradesh Roadways bus coming from the opposite side in Civil Lines area of the city on Saturday. The police said eight of the injured students were released after first aid, while other four were admitted to Vatsalya Hospital. All of them were out of danger.The bus driver managed to escape from the spot. A case has been lodged at Civil Lines police station.

Etawah BTech student hangs self

Lucknow:A 21-year old B.Tech second-year student of B R Ambedkar College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology reportedly committed suicide inside his hostel room in Civil Lines area in Etawah, on Saturday. The boy, Manu Singh, was a resident of Hardoi. Civil Lines station officer Shailendra Singh said the post mortem report was still awaited. He said the boy had an argument with his hostel mates on Friday night. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his room on Saturday morning, he said.

Aligarh BTech student shoots self

Lucknow:In Aligarh, a student of BTech first-year at a Ghaziabad-based private college reportedly committed suicide at his house in Delhi Gate area of Aligarh on Friday night by shooting himself with his father's double barrel gun. The deceased was identified as Madhusudan (21). Delhi Gate station officer Hariom said the family members informed that the boy was depressed for some time regarding his studies and was brought home on Friday only.
