Legends of Rock

Hard Rock Cafe, the popular US-based chain, is celebrating 50 years of pop and rock fashion with a week-long travelling rock memorabilia exhibition that begins on December 13. Treasures of the Hard Rock have been on the road since March this year, stopping at Hard Rock Cafes in Berlin, Brussels, Milan, Munich and Venice among other cities, before coming to Mumbai. On display are rock 'n' roll musician Johnny Cash's signature all-black suit, a hand-written letter by Mick Jagger to a fan and a jacket worn by his Rolling Stones bandmate, Ronnie Wood, for his 60th birthday party in 2007. The most eccentric item on display is a lime-green shirt with a gold belt and black trousers owned by another rock 'n' roll legend, Elvis Presley.

Among more recent pieces are Britney Spears' pink waitress dress that she wore in the You Drive Me Crazy music video, along with a photograph of the singer from sixth grade. Hard Rock Cafe known to have the largest rock memorabilia across the globe will also display Lady Gaga's Addams Family-inspired dress that made headlines earlier this year. The exhibition is on till December 21 at Hard Rock Cafe in Worli and will also travel to Delhi, Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
