Maharashtra shoots its way to glory

The annual school national shooting championship held at the Balewadi shooting range saw Maharashtra picking up a rich haul of medals. In all 15 medals were won by Maharashtra as they stamped their dominance. The Open Sight Air Rifle men's under-14 category shooting event was won by Maharashtra, as Shivam Sawant clinched the first position followed by Antriksh Chitre and Saurabh Surana in the second and third position respectively.

Team Haryana stood second and Team Punjab stood third in the Open Sight Air Rifle shooting women's under-14 category shooting event was won by Team Maharashtra. Team Gujarat and Team Andhra Pradesh stood second and third respectively. The men's under-17 category was won by team IPSC, while Punjab stood second and Maharashtra stood third in this event. The women's under-17 was won by IPSC. Maharashtra and Haryana stood second and third respectively. The men's under-19 category was won by Maharashtra, Punjab and IPSC stood second and third respectively.

The Peep sight air rifle shooting event men's under 14 category was won by team Punjab. The women's under 14 in this event was won by Team Maharashtra. The men's under 17 category was won by Team Maharashtra. The women's under 17 category was won by Team Punjab. The men's under 19 category was won by Team Maharashtra and women's under 19 category was also won by Team Maharashtra

The Air pistol shooting event men's under 14 category was won by Team Punjab,women's under 14 category was won by Maharashtra.
