Fog clears, but breeze keeps city cold
New Delhi: The city got respite from dense fog conditions after three days, but the winter breeze kept the Capital cold on Wednesday. The maximum temperature plunged two degrees below normal to settle at 18.3 degrees Celsius. Flight operations at IGI Airport remained unaffected. There was shallow fog in the morning at the airport and the visibility was above 1,500 metres, airport sources said. There were delays and cancellations of some flights, but it was mainly due to operational reasons and bad weather at the destination ports, a source said. The Met department forecast partly cloudy sky with mist or shallow fog on Thursday morning.
