Man hangs self, names four people in his suicide note
A 30-year-old man allegedly committed suicide at his relative's residence Saturday, leaving behind a detailed note naming four people who had allegedly harassed him over repayment of loan. Police have arrested two of those named. According to Dahisar police, Sandeep Patil (30) was found hanging at his sister-in-law's house at around 7 am. He had come to stay there the previous night while his sister-in-law was out of station, they said. "Patil wrote that he had borrowed money from Arun Bhatia, Alok Dubey, Latif Khan and Vikram. He also mentioned their cellphone numbers. They were harassing him, though he told them he was unable to repay the money he had borrowed from them," said ACP Sunil Deshmukh, Dahisar division. By Saturday afternoon, police picked up Bhatia from his Dahisar residence and Khan from his office in Malad. "The four are not professional money lenders but had lent money to Patil as he was going through hard times. Patil, in his suicide note, also mentioned the names of people who had witnessed the alleged harassment," Deshmukh said.
