Nehchal Sandhu new IB director

The appointments committee of the cabinet has cleared the name of Nehchal Sandhu as the next Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB). Sandhu is currently a Special Director of the internal intelligence agency and will take over from Rajiv Mathur who retires month-end. Sandhu, a 1973-batch Bihar-cadre IPS officer, has spent over 30 years in the intelligence agency. He is currently number two in the agency.
