Parents held for ‘trafficking’ girl

The Kerala Police Saturday arrested a couple after their daughter complained they had traded her in sex market.

Sources said the teenaged girl was rescued by the public from Paravoor in Ernakulam district Friday night. Besides her parents, the police have arrested six persons.

The girl, a higher-secondary school dropout, alleged that both parents traded her for money. She was exploited for the past two years.

However, she had not stated her father had raped her, the police said.
