Passer-by saw us, we told him she was a sex worker, approver tells court

Rajesh Chaudhari, the approver in the Nayana Pujari gangrape case, on Friday said in his in-camera testimony before a special court that the driver of a passing by car had seen them sexually assaulting Pujari in an Indica parked on the side of the road at Valu Phata on the fateful night. However, they misled the driver by saying that the woman was a prostitute and they had picked her up from Pune, he said.

Pujari a techie working at a city-based company Synechron was abducted and gangraped and was later killed by on October 8, 2010.
