Four Airbus planes to join Jet Airways fleet

Jet Airways has announced a planned induction of four new Airbus A330-300 series aircraft into its fleet. The airline took delivery of one of these new aircraft on Wednesday from the manufacturer's headquarters in Toulouse, France. The airline is expected to take delivery of an additional new Airbus A330-300 later this month. Jet Airways currently has an Airbus fleet of 11 Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

Hindustan Unilever falls on royalty fears

The Hindustan Unilever scrip fell on worries it will face higher royalty payments to Unilever PLC. Concerns started after Unilever's Indonesian subsidiary, Unilever Indonesia agreed to pay a royalty payment to the parent company. Hindustan Unilever did not immediately respond to an email sent by Reuters. Shares of PT Unilever Indonesia slumped as much as 12% on Wednesday.

ABG Shipyard bags Rs 485-cr defence ministry order

ABG Shipyard, country's largest private ship building company, has bagged a repeat order from the ministry of defence for building an additional cadet training vessel for the Indian Navy. This contract is worth about R485 crore. The vessel will be approximately110 m in length with the capacity to carry a light helicopter. According to a company release, Designed to achieve a maximum speed of 20 knots, the vessel will be used to provide basic training to the Naval Cadets and trainees in activities such as disaster relief, search and rescue operations. Till date ABG Shipyard has delivered more than 160 vessels worldwide.

Star India launches Bengali movie channel

Star India said it is launching a new Bengali movie channel called 'Jalsha Movies' on December 16. The network already has a Bengali entertainment channel called Star Jalsha, which was launched four years ago. Rising demand for its Bengali entertainment channel from audiences prompted Star Network to launch of the 24-hour movie channel, it said in a media statement.
