Red Chillies Idiot Box shuts down

Red Chillies Idiot Box, a part of Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment has shut shop. Founded in 2009, this television production unit has churned out 12 shows including Farah Khan's chat show, Tere Mere Beach Mein, Preity Zinta's Up Close And Personal With PZ and Ishaan that was telecast on Disney channel. Its last production was Coke Studio on MTV. "Yes, Idiot Box has shut down. The unit, anyway, has not been very active recently," says a source at Red Chillies.

Revel Films' next is Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga

Revel Films, the makers of successful Phas Gaye Re Obama, have titled their next Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga. Till now, the producer Ashok Pandey had been shooting this film under the working title Apni To Lag Gayi for this satire that deals with the contemporary scenario. "We wanted a title that is vocal of the satire and comic relief in the film. Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga is an apt title," Pandey says.

Directed by Anshul Sharma, this film stars actors like Sanjay Mishra, Vishwa Mohan Badola, Zakir Hussain, Pragati Pandey, Sitaram Panchal, Ranjan Chhabra, Disha, Paritosh Sand and Pramod Pathak.

Bosco's next is still in scripting stage

Choreographer Bosco of Bosco-Caesar fame turns director with the official remake of the 2009 South Korean film, My Girlfriend Is An Agent. Tentatively titled 2 2 Tango, this film will be co-produced by UTV Motion Pictures and PI Productions, run by Imtiaz Ali and his wife, Preeti. While there has been a lot of speculation where Shahid Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are rumoured to be a part of this project, Bosco clears the air, saying, "That is news to me also. The film is still in the scripting stage. Once the script is locked, we will decide the cast."
