The Sanjay Dutt-Emraan Hashmi-starrer Ungli, which is helmed by Rensil D'Silva was to release in September this year, but was pushed to a later date as the makers could not find a right window for the film. While the release date is still not locked for this Karan Johar production venture, D'Silva says that the film shall see a mid-2014 release. "Karan is still deciding on the exact date, but, it should release somewhere between March and May," informs the director.

Meanwhile, a special promotional song is slated to be shot for the film. D'Silva says, "We've finished shooting the entire film, barring a couple of days of shoot in January, when we plan to shoot the song."

Besides, Rensil who has recently wrapped up 24, is in no hurry to start any other project. "Since I've just finished 24, I want to keep some time aside for Ungli because there's still some post-production work, DI (Digital Intermediate), to be completed. It will be done in the next two months, after which I will start working on my new film," he says.

D'Silva has a couple of scripts ready, but he is yet to decide which one to start and then begin the casting accordingly.

Said to be a social drama, Ungli also stars Kangana Ranaut, Randeep Hooda and Neha Dhupia.
