Delhi Public School, R K Puram hosted the scholar badge ceremony for Class X — Sections G to M — on December 3. The chief guest of the event Ravi Vira Gupta, Honorary Treasurer of DPS Society. The cultural event started with a performance by the school orchestra. Principal Dr D R Saini felicitated Gupta. A short video on the achievements of the school was screened.Vanita Sehgal, headmistress, and Anjana Virmani, representative for Class X, were also present. The students of DPS Shiksha Kendra presented a dance on fight against child labour. The chief guest stressed on the importance of making informed choices and pursuing what one is passionate about. The vote of thanks was delivered by Sehgal.
Investiture ceremony at Banyan Tree School
The Senior School Investiture Ceremony was held in Banyan Tree School on October 25. The Head Girl, Manu Gupta, and the Head Boy, Ishaan Gambhir, of the outgoing Council, shared their experiences with the students and faculty members. Chetna Saini, HoS, presented the flag to the Head Girl, Saishree Singal, and the Head Boy, Shubham Bansal. The Council Mistresses, along with the House Mistresses, handed over the sash and badge to the House Captains and Prefects.
Intl School Award for St Mark's School
St Mark's School, Meera Bagh, was felicitated with the International School Award at Hotel Taj President,Mumbai, on November 17.
The award function was attended by Principal Anjali Aggarwal and Global Co-ordinator Geeta Rajan. Rob Lynes, Director, British Council, India, gave away the trophy to the school.
Peter Beckingham, Deputy High Commissioner of UK to India and Sam Harvey, Director, British Council, West India, attended the event.
Painting competition at St Mark's Sr Sec School
St. Mark's Sr. Sec. Public School, Janakpuri, organised the 13th annual Inter-School On The Spot Painting Competition on November 30. With an aim to encourage students, an overwhelming response from schools all over Delhi was observed. Everyone was spell bound to see the budding artists equipped with colours and brushes merging the colours enthusiastically and animatedly mesmerizing the onlookers. Artist Prof. Niren Sen Gupta, former principal, College of Arts was the chief guest. Manager Rahul Aggarwal presented a momento the chief guest. Principal Rama Sethi felicitated the guest of honour Harinansha Bhardwaj, president of NIJH World. Convenor Alka Kher, vice-principal, appreciated the participation from the various schools.
