Showroom burgled, owner claims loss of Rs 12 lakh

AN ELECTRONIC showroom, Bama Infotech, in Kitchlu Nagar was looted on Monday night and thieves fled with laptops, mobile phones and other accessories.

However, the CCTV cameras installed in the showroom captured the faces of the miscreants. The CCTV footage has been handed over to PAU police.

The showroom owner, Naveen Verma, said that he suffered a loss of approximately Rs 12 lakh. The dog squad and a forensic science team of police also reached the spot. The PAU police registered a case against unidentified people on Tuesday.

Verma, a resident of Udham Singh Nagar, said that he closed the shutters of the showroom around 9 pm on Monday. On Tuesday morning, the sweeper telephoned him when he saw grills of the back gate damaged.

As many as 20 laptops, 10 mobile phones and other accessories were missing.

Verma said that there were three burglars. Two of them entered in the showroom while one remained outside. All three had been captured in CCTV cameras.
