SRK's Happy Thoughts

Sporting the Don 2 look- a la ponytail and slick gelled hair, King Khan wowed the city with his philosophy, filmy punchlines and trademark humour

Shah Rukh Khan rolled into the Ganesh Kala Krida premises at Swargate in a black Rolls Royce. The auditorium was packed and the star created quite a flutter. He was in town on Monday to launch a self-help book, The Source, Power of Happy Thoughts, written by Sirshree, founder of Tej Gyan Foundation. Eager fans hooted and called out his name as he came on to the stage. "I am a believer of positivity and happy thoughts. One should always start the day with positive thinking," he said after launching the book. "With a collection of over 20,000 books at home, I read three books at a time - one while I'm in the car, one just before I sleep and one while I'm in the washroom!" he added. In his speech, he called for secularism and tolerance for all religions. He spoke about ambitions, humanity and world peace. He was a real crowd pleaser as he delivered dialogues from Don and Om Shanti Om on request. As he headed out of the venue, the large crowd gathered outside climbed on to the gates to get a glimpse of the star and he waved back. The Badshah also promised to come back to Pune soon for the promotion of Don 2.
