Strawberry Fields holds annual day

Students of Strawberry Fields World School, Sector 26 held its annual function on Sunday in which the students presented an array of items. The show had 21 sequences ranging from John Travolta's Grease, Walt Disney's Mary Poppins, Jungle Book's Lion King, animated Madagascar, foot-tapping numbers from Oliver to chartbusting Bollywood numbers.

The choreography was by Shiamak Davar's Dance Company. Combining the classical with the modern, contemporary with jazz, retro and rock n'roll with disco and hip-hop, students brought their own understanding of music and dance to their renditions.

Aman Sidhu, principal of the School said, "Music and dance teach us a lot and we are happy to see that our conviction of including it in the curriculum in myriad ways has found resonance with the students. They love it and they are constantly rediscovering themselves."
